Oh my, what a story!! It’s fantastical, dark and sexy. Kassandra has no idea that she’s the Warrior of Light to Markos’ ultimate darkness, prophesies speaking of their fated union. As he leads her deeper and deeper into his world, we as readers take the journey with her. I started this book and finished it in one day. That’s how good it was; it held my interest and I had to find out what the heck was going to happen. I wasn’t disappointed but then I never am with Sara Fields. Highly recommended.
Omg this book is so dark riveting intense gripping shoukd I go on !!!! There is so much to this book this is my first book Sara and now I'm TOTALLY CONSUMED I could not put this book down. It has everything dark desire sexual intensity mastering skill. I was given as an ARC but just had to purchase for myself!!!! If you like dark thrilling books. Please read this book.
Kassandra works for Interpol and while on a mission she gets caught by Markos an immortal who knows who she really is. She doesn't know she is a warrior or that there is a prophecy that involves them. Will she think he is crazy or will he leave her begging for more.
I really like this story featuring Markos and Kassandra. Very good premise with a storyline that keeps you guessing until the very end. Dark, Disturbing and utterly engrossing this is a winner from start to finish. What kept this from being a five star book (for me) was there was just too much sex. It got a bit repetitive. Well written book. So 4 super sharp Fangs on this one.
I cant believe I wasted my money on this. I mainly bought it because of the glowing reviews, but honestly its just sh@t writing.
I wrote a review for Feral, another book by this author. I really had to think a long time before writing that and this review. Until I read Feral, I loved this author, had read every book she’d written. She used to be great at world building, character development, a really talented storyteller. I hoped Feral was a one off. It wasn’t. This book has the exact same problems Feral did. While the original idea was again outstanding, that premise disappeared after the first chapter. I wish I understood why because that idea had so much promise. The two main characters are again flat and one dimensional. In my opinion, the plot is nonexistent. The minor characters aren’t involved in the story at all. What’s the point of them being there? I felt the entire book was very predictable. It just ended with no closure. There's again a lot of violent sex. That's not an issue for me. It's actually a selling point. But, as with Feral, there's nothing but sex. What’s the point of all that sex if there’s no framework, no story? For a book to hold my interest, it has to be a complete story, with a plot, engaging, well developed characters, a back story and closure at the end. That doesn’t mean an HEA or even HFN. It means an ending that completes the story. This book doesn’t come close. It's just chapter after chapter of sex and dialogue that, to me, is meaningless. It's advertised as being dark. It’s darkish. Paranormal? Maybe, but how? Throwing in one paranormal character doesn’t make it a paranormal book. Romance? I don’t know how this could be called a romance, although a lot of people seem to have thought so given the overwhelming number of four and five star reviews. Perhaps that’s subjective to me. I wish I knew why this author changed. She really was so wonderful. I'm so disappointed. I doubt I'll ever take a chance on another of her books.
While Ms Fields books are usually pretty good, this one was definitely not.The backstory could have been interesting but the actual execution was so flat, it seemed to fit into ten sentences. The rest of the story were sex scenes. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy well written erotica, but this was neither well written nor interesting, just tedious.I need more to stimulate my imagination
This was a very dark and scary story. A bit more dark than usually from this author, in my opinion. I thought the story started out well. It was intense and creative and then it really took off - into a mind blowing adventure into darkness. He told her what he was going to do and then delivered on that promise or threat if you are so inclined (which I was). A truly imaginative story that I liked...I had hoped for a slightly different ending but the ending fit the story as the author wrote it.
