First off, this is a very short book...easily read in its entirety in one quick sitting. It outlines 10 keys the author has listed as essential to loving relationships.On the surface the brevity of pages and the ease of reading the book may cause the casual observer to dismiss the import of its content...but that would be jumping to conclusions. This is one of the best guides on this matter I have ever read because it is different than other "self-help" books. Its difference lies in the author's emphasis on showing loving actions & attitudes as a factor of our own choice in how we relate to others...the obligations and choices we make in our relationships.Most other self-help books emphasize behavioral changes and treat "love" as if it were a reward from others to us..this book shows how love should flow from us to others...without the necessity of reciprocity.As a Christian I certainly understand this emphasis...and am grateful that an author has chosen to write on it.If anyone reads this book...and follows its outline and advice...they may find their life transformed in a very deep way.
I read this in one 6 hour shift at work! My boyfriend and I have only been together 1 month and I've never been in a serious long-term HEALTHY relationship despite my adult age, and so I sought to download all the applicable kindle books I could on how NOT to screw up my relationship, and this book was a very good read, while you'll discover the 10 keys are fairly obvious, the details that follow the initial keys are very insightful. There was some religious ties in the book that I honestly wasn't expecting, but I am technically a Christian and while I have fairly agnostic views they didn't much bother me. I just kind of accepted their presence and kept on my reading.
In short and simple words Krystal Kuehn takes on an important excerpt from the Bible about love and brings it to our day to day life. This was truly a great little eBook on love and relationships! I love the affirmations, questions, and quotes at the end of each chapter. SO many of us lack an understanding of what love REALLY is, but the author of this eBook helps to bring that understanding to her readers.
You've heard the verses read at nearly every wedding you've attended. This book basically expounds on those verses (love is patient, love is kind, etc.).
This book is a detailed description of 1Cor love. However, the affirmations and quotes are great. There tips for putting your love in action. I believe anyone could benefit from reading this book especially those in a troubled loving relationship.
I havent had time to read the whole book so far, but it is okay not much to keep your interest which is why its probably taking me a while to finish reading it.
