My wife and I are Christian and had both abstained from sex before we were married. My wife and I like to look at the book and read it aloud while caressing each other.The best compliment I can give this book is that it is tasteful. I feel as though the writing does not insult one's intelligence nor does it leave you feeling as though you're doing something dirty. I also appreciate that this is a book that is just as appealing to me as it is to my wife.I also appreciate that the book has a modern feel to it. I considered getting a copy of the Joy of Sex, but I know we wouldn't have had as much fun with that book than we do with this one.Overall, for those of us who need to be educated and want new ideas, this is a fantastic book and one that will be used for more than one year.
Believe it or not, my boyfriend bought this book for me, not the other way around! Because I've always had hang-ups about my body and even though he's been enthusiastic about wanting to satisfy me with his mouth, I just don't want him to because it makes me feel too vulnerable and I worry about being overweight.I like sex under the blankets with the lights off, and I know a lot of other women feel this way too. And when it comes to oral sex, it's easier for a woman to give than receive I think because of all the hang-ups and the feeling that it takes too long and the guy is getting impatient or doesn't like it. So my boyfriend bought me this book to show me how enthusiastic he is and to show me what he wants to do and after I read a few pages, I couldn't wait it set my mind on fire! It was amazing, and now I want it all the time from him and I keep telling him about different techniques in the book, try this one and that one!It's a whole new approach to sex for me, and I never knew that guys could like it so much! So for any woman who is afraid for some reason of having a guy go down on him or just plain nervous about it, this is a great book to get into the male mind-set and also learn things about your own body that you never knew. The only reason I give it four stars is because the author has now turned me into a sex addict and I can't get enough. Also, it's very one-sided towards pleasuring the woman, and doesn't talk about what a woman can do to a guy and sex shouldn't be so one-sided, even though it's a great side to be on!
At first, I taught this book is so bold and daring but as a I read it fully, I had found out the real intention of the author why she wrote this book. She tries to help bring back the romance and add fiery passion in couple's intimate relationship inside the bedroom and beyond. She emphasized that sex alone does not tightens one relationships, couples also need more time to bond, talk and do activities together and kiss each other more often. I think these sex positions can help improve your physical and emotional relationship with your partner. Worth reading.
I got pretty much all the info I needed to buy this from other reviewers (thank you to anyone who takes the time to write a review!), but I thought I'd add my two cents.I am the type to research the heck out of anything before I do it and when I was looking for ideas to spice things up with my husband I came across this book on a blog. I was on the fence as I got some great free ideas on the web, so why spend the money? BUT it came highly recommended and now I see why! Because the ideas weren't mine (anyone else get that resistance from their man? Sigh) it made my husband more open to it and I love the mystery, suspense, and creativity the ideas include. The expertise of the author is obvious. I think anyone who has not been too adventurous in the bedroom up to this point, but wants to try some new things/put in more effort would really benefit from this book.Some ideas take some money/supplies, but it's well worth it. Many are easy and can be done with what you already have. I'm only 4 "envelopes" (ie. folded pages) in, but I'm looking forward to trying them all! The hubby is super happy as am I!
